Granny Sweater

(H&M altered pants, scarf, DIY sheer black blouse, vintage granny sweater)

I've been wearing big granny sweaters these past few weeks. San Francisco's nice sunny days have been replaced with foggy cold rainy days. So, the need for warm comfortable chunky sweaters is crucial right now. I got this sweater at this cute vintage store in San Francisco several months ago and can't seen to stop wearing it. Its just so comfortable to wear at school or around the house, it's like a big pj. Another item I can stop wearing is this amazing sheer blouse I got from my mom. The blouse was originally long but I decided to crop it so I can wear with high waisted pants/jeans. Its super convenient specially since cropped collar blouses are expensive in e-stores like nasty gal, UO, and ASOS. I prefer going to thrift store finding a cute blouse with an amazing collar and cropping the blouse yourself for less than a fraction of the price.

Summer Sky

(Vinatge 90s shirt, sheer black top, Vintage high-waisted shorts, Doc Martin boots, Ark & Co. leather jacket)

Reality Bites, Singles, Chasing Amy, and Empire Records are just a few of my favorite 90s movies. The 90s is full of inspiration to me when it comes the fashion trends in exclusion to the baggy jeans/pants (not a huge fan of that). The cropped tops, shredded shorts, wool hats, combat boots, and eccentric jewelry has my heart. Now, with the sunny weather in San Francisco its not that hard to dig out shorts and a sheer top and wear it in the middle of the January. Weird weather but I am not complaining.

To share a little of my love for the 90s, I will be selling these shorts soon in my very own online store.

Have a lovely weekend!

Flowers and Bees

(Sparkle and Fade chiffon skirt/ H&M cropped sweater/ American Rag combat boots)

I took these pictures a long time ago and never got around to posting them, now that I am on break I plan on posting all the photos I have delayed. Lets hope I can post all my photos before I start school again!
Recently, I've been sewing thirfted clothes and giving them a more modern twist (or at least I think). I borrowed this great sewing machine from my friend and now I can't stop using it. I've been cutting, hemming, and trimming everything I can get my hands on. With this sudden inspiration to alter everything my little hands can get a hold on I will be doing something I have been meaning to do for a long time.  This year I am opening an online store with a collection of clothing I have found at vintage stores and thrifted clothes that have modified (all clothing will be from the Bay Area).

Disneyland Eve

Disneyland for New Years Eve was an amazing an chaotic experience. But, the magical kingdom was not short on providing an entertaining show for new years eve. The lines were long and there were way too many people but all the chaos was worth it when night came down and the lights lit the park. Universal Studios was a must on New Years Day... rode Jurassic Park and it was awesome!!!
Outfit post coming soon!

Hayes Valley

(vintage shorts, thrifted jean long sleeve shirt, vintage blouse, gifted penny loafers)

On Wednesday morning my friends and I decided to head over to Hayes Valley to get some delicious pizza. Right in the heart of Hayes Valley is this little corner filled with food trucks, you can always find something that is to your liking. There is also two shops right next to the food trucks, Ritual Coffee and Smitten Ice Cream, love coffee and ice cream such a perfect match. We got some Casey's Pizza, which is the first pizza truck in San Francisco. Their pizza is so good, I swear I could eat like three pies and still want more. But, my favorite is the arugula with the melting cheese and lemon juice, so good! I have to say my boyfriend works for Casey's Pizza so I guess that makes me a little bias but try it for yourself and let me know what you think.

We left in a hurry so my outfit is super simple, but then again most of my outfits are (bare minimum). My favorite part about this outfit is the gifted penny loafers my mom gave me. They are so cute, I have to confess tho, these shoes are children shoes. I have super tiny feet so I found out I can fit into a boys 5 shoe. Couldn't be anymore excited, I've been trying to find these shoes for a while.

Have a great weekend!

Vegas Trip Deux

(thrifted white dress, thrifted boots, forever 21 hat, h&m sheer tights, and vintage peacoat)

My last night in Vegas was spent in the magical resort at the end of the strip, Mandalay Bay. The Golden building was certainly an upgrade from the grungy funky Riviera.  The last day in Vegas was spent walking around the strip going into every hotel we could manage to walk into without getting too tired.  I have to say that Caesars Palace was my favorite hotel and by far the most expensive. but, I guess I am being a little bias because The Hangover is one of my favorite movies. The mall inside the Caesars Palace is enormous, you can definitely get lost in there and come out with 20 shopping bags filled with clothes.

Now, on to the clothes. This white mini dress is one of my favorite pieces I have found in the Goodwill. It's super comfortable and incredibly flirty.  The boots are a gem I found at the Savers in Vegas. When I saw them I had to have them. They are just so cute and look great with a dress of skinny jeans. I have been wearing them everyday ever since I bought them. The peacoat is a vintage coat I found at the Salvation Army. It's coming in handy now that San Francisco is becoming increasingly cold.

You may notice that the last picture is an imitation (badly? maybe) of the movie, The Shining. The two little girls?... right?...hopefully people can tell (hehe). If you haven't seen The Shining check it out!

Till next time.
